The Summerland Campground & RV Park is a modern semi-urban family oriented camping and RV facility and as such has increased security features including a 24-hour electronic gate at the entrance and code locks for the doors to the bathrooms and showers. As a community and family oriented business, we have specific rules that must be followed in order to comply with local by-laws and to provide a safe, comfortable and relaxing environment for families, children and all our guests. Please thoroughly review our facility’s features, rules and policies. If you or any member of your party feels that compliance with any of these rules or policies is not possible, or if you are not comfortable with any of our security features, please do not submit a reservations form.

For your comfort, safety and security; and that of your fellow campers, every guest MUST observe the following rules while staying at the Summerland Campground. Failure to do so may result in the termination of your stay (without refund) and/or the involvement of the R.C.M.P.

Any wilful abuse, damage, destruction or misuse of ANY campground equipment or facilities will result in the cost of damages and repair (minimum $100) immediately being charged to the at fault guest’s credit card on file. Municipality of Summerland by-Law Enforcement is in Effect!

 

General Rules & Information

  • No Check-in / Arrivals after 09:00 pm! (unless previously arranged)
  • Maximum Site Occupancy is 6 Persons per Site; NO EXCEPTIONS!
  • Maximum Adult Occupancy per Site is 4 Adults; NO EXCEPTIONS!
  • Store/Reception Hours are posted daily on the bulletin board outside store/office. Check Notice Board(s) Outside Store for Campground news and other pertinent information.
  • Quite Time is between 10:30 pm until 07:00 am.
  • DO NOT Play Loud Music at anytime and ALL Music must be turned off by 10:30 pm.
  • Entrance Gate Closes for entries at 11:00 pm and Re-Opens for entries at 7:00am.
  • Do not give Entrance Gate Code to anyone under any circumstances.
  • Check-Out Time is 11:00 am. All Sites MUST be vacant by 11:00 am.
  • SMOKERS: Do NOT litter cigarette butts in the campground! Dispose of them cleanly.
  • ALL Vehicles MUST Drive DEAD SLOW Through Entrance Gate and in the Campground.
  • Cautiously manoeuvre vehicles in the Campground; if you break it, you pay for it.
  • Only One (1) Vehicle Allowed per Site. Do NOT Park in Vacant Sites.
  • Overflow and Visitor parking is Outside the Campground.
  • DO NOT Drag Picnic Tables. They MUST Be Carried.
  • Bicycles are not permitted on Grass, in Playground or Pool Area.
  • DO NOT Climb Trees or Fences. No Nails or Spikes into trees or fences.

FIRES

  • Campfires are a Privilege in Summerland. DO NOT Abuse this Privilege. Think & Be Safe!
  • ALL Fires MUST be kept SMALL and MUST be Completely OUT No later than 11:00 pm.
  • DO NOT Move your site’s Fire Pit. Communal Fire Pit is Available for Everyone’s Use.

Visitors

  • ALL Visitors MUST Park Vehicles outside the Campground and walk-in.
  • ALL Visitors MUST check-in at the Store/Office. No Exceptions.
  • ALL Visitors MUST Depart Campground by 10:30 pm.

Garbage & Recycling

  • It is the Guest’s Responsibility to keep their site Clean and Free of Garbage & Refuse.
  • No Garbage in campsites or when vacating sites! Should this occur, the at fault guest's credit card on file will be charged $50 clean-up fee.
  • Garbage/Refuse Dumpster is near the Campground Entrance. Please Use it.
  • No Cardboard of any kind in Refuse Dumpster; You MUST dispose of it yourself.
  • Recycle Containers are Next to Garbage/Refuse Bin. Please Use Them.

PETS

  • Only One (1) Pet per Site - $2.00 each, per night.
  • ALL Pets MUST be declared at Check-In; ALL Pets MUST be Kept Leashed at ALL Times.
  • Pets MUST NOT be left Unattended in RV's or anywhere in the Campground at Anytime.
  • Pets MUST be walked Outside the Campground. You MUST Clean-Up After your Own Pet.
  • Pets are NOT Permitted on Grass, in Playground or Pool Patio Area.
  • Pets are NOT Permitted at the Store/Reception Area or in the Bathrooms.

POOL/PLAYGROUND

  • Seasonal Heated Outdoor Pool is Open: 9:00 am until 8:30 pm. (weather permitting)
  • No Lifeguard on Duty at Pool; Swim at Your Own Risk!
  • ALL Children less than 12 Years of age MUST be supervised by an Adult While in the Pool.
  • No Food, Drink, Glass, Rocks or other Hazardous Materials Permitted Inside the Pool Area.
  • No Shoes, Footwear, Hard Toys, Flippers, or Blow-Up Water Toys Permitted in Fenced Pool Area.
  • Playground is Only for Children 12 Years of Age or under.

 

The Summerland Campground & RV Park is NOT Responsible or Liable for Accidents, Personal Injury and Lost or Stolen Property. Please advise us immediately of any Problem(s) in the Campground. Remember: Please DO NOT put anything Other than Non-Corrosive Liquids, Water and Bodily Waste down Toilets, Sewer Hoses and Sewer Outlets. We are on a Septic System!
